Mini Swaps

Here's a chance to share your mini skill results with others, and get great stuff in return.

The swap will be offered in two scales; 1:12 and 1:48. You can participate in either swap or both if you wish.

Here is how it works. You bring 10 identical items in your chosen scale. You can make them yourself or they can be purchased from another artisan but must be handcrafted.

When the swap is finished, you'll have 10 different items in your scale.
  • The swaps should be something you would be thrilled to receive.
  • A value of around $5 each is a good guideline.
  • It is not necessary for them to be theme related.
  • Your swap items should be different from your table gifts so no one receives duplicate items.
  • They should be individually packaged in bags or small containers with your name on the package.
  • No Kits or Printies or Dollar store items please

Be sure to bring your swaps to the Registration table and hand them in as you register.

Share with us your favourite thoughts about digging into the past
  • your own ancestry or romantic memories (actual or imagined)
  • an historic event
  • a favourite book
  • a special movie
  • the trip of a lifetime to an ancient civilization
We're not being competitive this year, because we will adore seeing them all.

Table Gifts

You have the option to sit at a 1:12 or 1:48 scale table.

Increase your own and everybody else's enjoyment of the Gathering by following the Saturday night tradition of exchanging small gifts with the seven other people at your table.
Please remember what scale table you are sitting at and have gifts in that scale.

While a value of $3-5 is suggested, most are handmade items which are valued by the recipients as a wonderful reminder of the Gathering.

Giving is optional.

Exchange Gifts

You can bring a gift for another lucky miniaturist, of a value of around $20.

Bring a miniature item in 1:12 or 1:48 scale (not both please) and you will receive in exchange a gift in the same scale.

Something that's ready to be added to a collection or display.

Please, no books, tools or kits.

Keep it to something that will fit into a brown paper sandwich bag.

Of course, it's time for
Celebrating The Secrets of the Past

Dress up in anything inspired by the ancient, or not-so-ancient, past.
You can even come as you were in a previous lifetime.

Name Tag Holders

You've been so good about bringing your own name tags holders.

So please keep doing it, either from a previous Gathering or any other event you've attended.

(We may have a few extras just in case--first come first served)
